Alleviating The Common Symptoms
Does your dog soil when you’re out?
If your dog only soils when you’re out, then we need to get him onto The Separation Anxiety Solution as soon as possible. We don’t need to revisit house training. What we do need to do is lower his anxiety.
Chewing & Destroying
Are your belongings at risk of being destroyed while away?
We will talk you through the steps to ensure that your dog doesn’t get stressed and destroy. With The Separation Anxiety Solution, we keep your dog below his stress threshold 100% of the time, resulting in a lack of impulse to destroy.
Are you getting constant complaints about your dog barking?
Once you start working with the The Separation Anxiety Solution, your dog will be kept under his anxiety threshold at all times. This means no barking. If you have complaints from a neighbor or landlord, we will gladly draft a letter explaining how we will help!
Does your dog follow you everywhere around the house?
Many dogs with separation anxiety do seem to have a greater need to be close to their owner than other dogs. Attachment is only an issue if it causes a problem for you. We’ll give you tips and tools to help your dog be more independent.
Working with Julie
Maybe you've tried everything under the sun and found nothing worked. Or perhaps you've read a ton of stuff but now feel even more confused. Either way, I'm here to help.
I guarantee to use only tried and trusted methods on your dog – methods that are supported by research. I use these techniques because they succeed for the good majority of dogs (when you consistently apply them).
The best way to get your dog over separation anxiety is to gradual expose him to being on his own. But in tiny steps that he can handle. The fancy term is “desensitization”.
You might think you've tried this already. But when you work with me you'll see how my approach is different to what you might have used before.
It's still desensitization, but I've fine-tuned the process and worked out what makes the biggest difference to progress.
I work 100% remotely with clients all over the world!
Separation anxiety is unique among dog behaviors in that it’s best treated without the trainer physically present.
If you think about it, we’re trying to teach your dog that you leaving the house isn’t a scary thing. You don't need to have a trainer in the room to do that.
Technology will be your friend when you work on separation anxiety. But you need a bit of knowledge too. That's what I offer in my programs. Information on what will work. And guidance on how to avoid what won't.
